Fields of Study: Early Modern Europe, Early Modern France, Atlantic World
Dr. Lipp's research explores issues of early modern European social and political development. His book Noble Strategies in an Early Modern Small State: The Mahuet of Lorraine was published by the University of Rochester Press in 2011. He is currently working on a second project, an examination of political alternatives in early modern Europe, including exiled courts and pretenders.
