Chris Renaud

I'm a sound-oriented film-maker, with a love of the form broadly, and diverse credits on fiction films, documentaries and experimental work.. I've been thinking about and making films since my early teens. Occupations and opportunities that were once pie-in-the-sky for my geographic location (the Midwest) and time period are now real possibilities for today's students.

What I value about both classroom and film set is that every person brings something crucial. A great joy of teaching is firsthand witness as students discover their own capabilities/aptitudes within the multitudinous roles of a production team - which requires every conceivable skill set and personality type to function. In other words, there's a place for anyone with the drive to be there.

I joined UWG in 2012. I'm inspired daily by the levels of commitment and energy embodied by this School's students, faculty and staff, am committed to every students' success, and I am incredibly proud to call the University of West Georgia my home and professional family.
