Blynne Olivieri Parker is a Dean of Ingram Library and Professor. She has been at UWG since 2012. She was a Senior Fellow at UCLA's Graduate School of Education and Information Studies in 2016 and UWG's Faculty Member of the Year in 2019. Her current research focus is the use of emerging technologies in the classroom to increase student competencies and learning.

Library Administration and Management
In administering different areas of the library I've supervised faculty, staff, and graduate students, managed state and foundation funds, raised funds, built research collections, taught, developed programs to increase student information literacy, increased research support to our campus, and aligned the work of our library with the university's and the library's strategic goals. In 2014 I participated in the Leadership Institute for Academic Librarians at Harvard Graduate School of Education and in 2016 I was selected for the Senior Fellows program at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Graduate School of Education & Information Studies. In whatever capacity I work in as a librarian, I am committed to being a trustworthy public servant and to being an open, learning, hard-working, transparent, and caring colleague. It is a combination of values, skills, and personal qualities that are the foundation of making a great leader. It is leadership that sets the tone and the stage for creating and sustaining a meaningful, impactful, and exciting learning environment for students.
