Alan Valdes is a Limited Term Instructor of History at the University of West Georgia, where he teaches surveys in United States and world history. His research primarily focuses on the Napoleonic legend and the intellectual history of Bonapartism, particularly the political program of Louis Napoleon Bonaparte and the Second French Empire.
Outside of the classroom, Alan also coaches for UWG's Ethics Bowl competition.
