Cecilia Benns earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at the University of Colorado and is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Her areas of passion in service include work in compassion fatigue and care of the caregiver, as well as hospice and palliative care, the field in which she remains in clinical practice. The values of care of the whole person, and being mindful and intentional while in care of the sick, are driving principles that make her work more organic, sustainable, and service oriented.
