Estimated costs of attendance are costs that are paid to UWG, such as tuition, fees, meal plans, and on-campus housing.

  • We encourage 15 hours per semester to graduate in 4 years.
  • Tuition costs will vary based on the number of credit hours in which the student enrolls. 12 or more credit hours is considered full-time enrollment.
  • All freshmen living in a residence hall must select at least the Basic Membership meal plan ($1,790 per semester). Refer to Campus Dining Services for more details at Dine West.
  • Books are not included on a student's invoice. However, since students usually purchase books for class, we included an estimated amount to assist when estimating the Cost of Attendance.
  • All amounts provided are based on 2021-2022 costs and are subject to change for the 2022-2023 academic year. Financial Aid is typically awarded and available for review in May.
  • All financial aid is awarded based on eligibility. Learn more at westga.edu/finaid.
  • Cost-of-attendance for Graduate students may vary by program. Please visit UWG's Graduate Admission's Cost page for more information.
  • Exclusively online students are not charged non-resident rates. Online tuition is not based on in-state or out-of-state residency classifications.

Are you eligible for in-state tuition?

Some students may be eligible for out-of-state tuition differential waivers to receive the same tuition rate as a legal resident of Georgia.

All legal residents of Alabama (effective Spring 2018), Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee (effective Fall 2022) are eligible for in-state tuition rates by submitting this Border State Waiver (PDF). Many others may be eligible, learn more about tuition classification and waivers and Georgia residency to help determine your tuition rate.
