About Our Organization
The Anthropological Society is an organization of undergraduate and graduate students
interested in the study of anthropology. All students are welcome to participate,
not just Anthropology majors and minors. The Society holds meetings every other week
in the anthropology building in the research room to discuss topics of anthropological
interest and also sponsors social activities periodically throughout the academic
year. Events that we commonly host are the Annual Chili Cookoff, Winter Holiday Party,
Halloween Pumpkin Carving, End-of-the-year Cookout, and a luncheon with the Waring
Distinguished Lecturer in Anthropology every Spring. We also host field trips to
places of anthropological interest such as the Etowah Indian Mounds.
