National Collegiate Honors Society for Anthropology

This is an Honors Society for Anthropology students nationwide, existing to recognize upstanding academic achievement. There are multiple possibilities for honors and awards that one can receive through membership to this society. 

“As an Honor Society, Lambda Alpha serves to recognize superiority, providing incentive for exceptional performance by granting certificates of accomplishment.”

Minimum requirements for active student membership shall be:

  • Undergraduates must be currently enrolled and have completed not less than twelve (12) semester hours or the equivalent in academic Anthropology.
  • Undergraduates must have an average grade in these courses of not less than “B” or 3.0 and a cumulative quality point average of not less than 2.5.
