Math Day
Planning for the 50th Annual UWG Math Day, to be held March 4, 2022, is currently underway! Additional/updated information will be posted as details are finalized.
Math Day is sponsored by the UWG Department of Computing and Mathematics.
Additional information regarding registration will be posted at a later date.
Each school can bring in a maximum of 12 students, 3 for each subject level.
Registration will be closed on February 21, or when 200 students have been registered--whichever happens first.
You will have an opportunity to make substitutions on your roster when you check in on-site at Math Day; however you will not be able to add additional students on-site.

**You can eat lunch at the campus dining facilities - West Commons (Z-6) or the new East Commons Dining Hall adjacent to Boyd Building.
Rules:
- Each school plays as a single team and will hand in a single answer sheet for each question.
- You'll have one minute or 90 seconds per problem.
- If there are multiple parts, you must put all your answers on ONE sheet and give it to an official. (Hint: Different team members may need to work on different parts.)
- When time is called, finish writing and hand in your answer.
- No calculators, phones, or computers allowed.
- Fractions and square roots must be reduced; no negative exponents; no decimal answers.
- A tie-breaker problem, if needed, will be given at the end.
In the Problem-Solving Competition, teams will receive certificates.
Certificates will also be given to the top three schools in the team ciphering competition.
Who: All UWG undergraduate students are invited to participate in the competition. A minimal background in mathematics is needed.
When: March 6th, 2020, 9:30am-11am

Prizes: Amazon gift card, Awarded to top scorers;
1st prize: $100
2nd prize: $75
3rd prize: $50
Up to three additional prizes: $50 each
* Awardees will be announced at the close of Math Day activities, Campus Center Ballroom, at 2pm.
