UWG Theatre Company takes center stage

Our students are daring, dynamic, and defiant. They present a diversity of drama, comedy, and musical theatre each academic year—acting in, singing in, directing, and designing engaging productions—all right here in West Georgia. We welcome you to join UWG Theatre Company or become a member of our audience. All shows are open to the public.

Venues and Facilities

Our main performance venue is the Townsend Center for the Performing Arts, located on UWG's Carrollton Campus. Housing a mainstage and a black-box theatre, the Townsend is where students stage a range of productions, from large-scale musicals with orchestras to more intimate dramas. The facility also includes a fully-loaded scene shop and a variety of stage lighting so that students in the UWG Theatre Company experience what it is like to produce a show in a professional setting—and our audiences have first-rate venues to enjoy each performance.

We also regularly partner with the Carrollton Center for the Arts to host musicals in their 272-seat community theatre.
