The Department of Accounting and Finance provides quality student learning in a personal environment and develops and maintains professionally accomplished faculty.

Excellence in student learning and professional development activities complement each other. The primary means by which instructors can enhance and update the content of their present courses and design new ones is through research and professional development activities.

Faculty members keep their knowledge current through interaction with the professional community and through involvement in academic and professional organizations. Members of the department are also engaged in service to the institution through involvement in University, Richards College of Business, and Departmental committees.
