Possible only through the incredible generosity of The Blackwell Trust, The Charles Wadsworth Piano Competition exists to provide unparalleled opportunity to tomorrow's top artists. The competition is open to applicants who currently live in the continental US and are between the ages of eighteen and twenty-five. Comprised of two rounds, the competition seeks to promote a diverse skill set in the upcoming generation of pianists. In the first round, eight semifinalists will be chosen from all applicants based on each potential competitor's video submission, resume, and recommendation letters. In the live second round, the semifinalists will perform in a series of recitals, ranging from solo a performance of competitor-chosen repertoire, to a duo sonata performed alongside a member of the Aeolus Quartet, to the final three competitors performing a piano quintet with the entire Aeolus Quartet.
