Program Description:
The University System of Georgia's consortia study abroad programs are designed by USG faculty and open to students from across Georgia & the United States. To get started, click on Apply Now and complete the Campus Data Sheet. This includes the application for Education Abroad Scholarships. Within you will also find instructions for completing the USGG application.

Transportation Note: Students are responsible for transportation to and from Atlanta airport. Unless other arrangements are made by the program director, students are to meet at the gate ready to board the plane. In some cases, the director will meet the students at the check-in counter, please check with the professor directing the program.
Location
USG Goes Global partners with USG World Regional Councils to operate cost-effective consortium study abroad programs. Taught by USG faculty members in destinations outside of the United States on programs ranging from 2-5 weeks, USG Goes Global students blend classroom experiences with group & individual travel as they earn academic credit. These programs allow USG students to register at their home institution & join students from 22 other USG institutions on impactful & fun learning experiences. While the majority of students are from USG institutions, students from other colleges & universities throughout the U.S. are encouraged to participate (see Eligibility).
USG Goes Global is planning programs for Summer 2025 in the destinations listed below. We look forward to continued collaboration with the USG World Regional Councils to operate programs in even more destinations in the future. Academics
Registration:
You will be registered for a USGG course and the UWG Course Equivalent. The USGG course will show zero credit hours and the UWG course will be the standard three credit hours. You will be registered by the Office of Education Abroad. The tuition fee payment deadline corresponds with the Ecore deadline on the Scoop.
Costs and Scholarships
Program Cost: varies
The cost of the program will vary depending on which location you select. Please visit the Location tab on the left and explore the different locations and their individual costs.
For the programs going to Europe:
Not included in program fee: ETIAS Visa Waiver Fee (Travel Permit) - This fee may range at about $10.00, however it is subject to change. Students are responsible for securing their visa. The inability to travel due a lack of visa/passport will unfortunetaly result in the complete loss of the program fee.
