B.S. Ed. Speech-Language Pathology
The B.S. in Education with a major in Speech Pathology is a pre-professional program that provides students with a basic knowledge of human communication and communication disorders in preparation for graduate study in audiology and speech-language pathology. These professional courses focus on speech, and hearing anatomy and science, a wide spectrum of communication disorders, as well as the assessment and treatment of communication disorders.
To function as a fully independent speech-language pathologist, additional post-graduate coursework is required that leads to a Master of Education and Certification as an SLP. The CSD program at UWG offers a M.Ed. in speech language pathology.
Applications to the B.S. Ed. Program in Speech-Language Pathology, are routed through the College of Education. To begin the application process, you must schedule a meeting in the College of Education Advisement Center.
