The Early Childhood Makerspace at the Early Learning Center was designed in partnership with local, state, and national leaders in design learning. The space contains tools and components that allow young children to become constructors and coders, in charge of their own learning. The hands-on learning, with a focus on inclusivity and accessibility is one of a kind in the state. Here are some example work that takes place: teacher training, individualized lessons, small group learning, whole class/field trip instruction, coding opportunities, robotics for young children.
