Abbot Packard, Ph.D.

Abbot L. Packard, a full professor here at the University of West Georgia for Twenty-Two years, holds a Ph. D. in Educational Research and Evaluation from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Dr. Packard's courses at UWG include Research in Education (EDRS 6301), MEDT 8480 Program Evaluation, NURS 6500 Data Analysis in Nursing, and MEDT 8484 Research Seminar. The primary focus of Dr. Packard's research is on examining methods by which using data can validate change in education. Dr Packard's other area of interest is using computers to teach and communicate in the field of Education and Professional development activities in which he has participated, include regional and national conferences related to educational research.
