The Pre-Kindergarten program has space for eighty-six children; three classes of twenty-two students each and one class of twenty. Twenty-eight spaces are reserved for children of UWG faculty, staff, and/or students. The remaining spaces are available to the community at large.

Lottery Registration Policies and Procedures - Please Read

February 1st – March 1st, we will accept submissions to be included in our lottery drawing for school year 2017-2018. To be included in our drawing, you must complete a 2017-2018 waiting list form. Please read and complete the form, print it out, and sign the bottom. Parent/Guardian signature is REQUIRED to be included in the lottery drawing. You may submit the form by mail (campus or USPS), fax, email (, or deliver in person at the Pre-K between the hours of 8:00-3:00pm. If you email, fax, or mail, you will get a confirmation email once we have received it. If you do not receive a confirmation email, we did not receive your form. It is your responsibility to ensure that the form is received. We must receive the form by 3:00pm on Wednesday, March 1st in order to be included in the lottery drawing. Any forms received after 3:00pm on March 1st will automatically be put on our waiting list after everyone who was not selected in the lottery drawing.

Our lottery drawing will be on Thursday, March 2nd. We will draw 28 names from the Faculty/Staff/Student pool for the UWG slots and the remaining slots will be drawn from the names of the community at large. Those families who are selected will be notified via email and we will hold a registration day for everyone to come complete registration packets on Tuesday, March 7th. Families will be assigned to either a morning or afternoon registration session. The sessions last approximately one hour. Families not chosen will be placed on the waiting list. We will randomly draw for the order of the waiting list and those families will be notified by email of their position on the waiting list. You may call and check your status on the waiting list anytime. It changes almost daily. Please do not be discouraged if you are not on the original 86 student roster. The majority of the people on the wait list do get in. 

Please note that "teacher requests" will only be considered during the roster building process once the drawing is complete and the registration process begins. We are unable to honor all teacher requests. We will do our best to place your child in the environment where they will thrive best. The state requires us to consider many criteria when building our rosters and we must make those our first priority. Thank you for understanding. 

***The drawing for the 2016-2017 school year has been completed. If you would like to be placed on the waiting list, please fill out the application below and submit to our office and we will notify you when we have received it. The form for the 2017-2018 school year will be posted on February 1, 2017 and will remain available for the drawing until March 1, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. The drawing will take place on March 2, 2017. All entried will be notified as to whether they were drawn to fill a spot or were placed on the waiting list.

**You must respond within two business days to the email about registration in order to reserve your space. If you do not show up to registration, your spot will be given away to the first family on the waiting list.
