BSN Program Changes and Updates for Admission

BSN (Pre-Licensure Program)
BSN Pre-Licensure Program Admissions for a Fall Start will be March 1, 2026-May 1, 2026—decisions will go out in mid-May
BSN Pre-Licensure Program Admissions for a Spring Start will be July 1, 2026-September 1, 2026—Decisions will go out in mid-September
Optional Considerations for Competitive Selection
THSON also considers a competitive selection process. At the conclusion of each admission cycle, applicants who have completed their core courses and have an established GPA may enhance their application by completing any of the following:
Have taken a nursing Entrance Exam and scored an aggregate score of 70 or greater taken in the past year
HESI A2 using UWG transcript uploaded OR
TEAS transcript request or upload
A current licensed practical nurse (LPN), certified nurse assistant (CNA), patient care technician (PCT), emergency medical technician (EMT), certified medical assistant (CMA) license in the state of Georgia or with a service record as a medic or corpsman in the military
Hold a bachelor's degree in another field
Have earned 15 or more successful semester credit hours at UWG; additional bonus for applicants who have earned 30 or more successful semester credit hours of BSN core at UWG
Live in Coweta County and select Newnan Program as their first choice
Has BSN Science GPA of 3.5 or higher (all BSN core Science attempts, excluding W's)
