UWG Emergency Management (UWG EM) provides a full time emergency manager available to coordinate emergency and disaster responses on and off campus with UWG response personnel as well as local, state, and federal agencies and organizations.

UWG EM is responsible for monitoring current and forecasted weather conditions and monitors activity and emergencies on and off campus to provide the university leadership with situational awareness. UWG EM plans for emergencies in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines and based on best practices in emergency management.

UWG EM is responsible for preparing for, responding to, recovering from, and mitigating against natural and human caused disasters and emergencies.
