Dear Students,

As the academic year comes to a close, I want to congratulate you on everything you have accomplished. Reaching the end of the semester reflects your persistence, commitment, and hard work.

This year brought opportunities to learn, grow, and connect, both inside and outside the classroom. I am proud of the effort you have invested in your education and grateful that you are part of the University of West Georgia community.

To our graduates who will walk across the stage next week at Commencement, congratulations on achieving this important milestone. You will soon join a growing community of successful UWG alumni, and we look forward to seeing the impact you will make. To those continuing your studies, we are excited to support you as you make progress toward your ultimate goal at UWG: graduation.

UWG is continuing to grow with intention, focused on student success, academic quality, and creating opportunities that prepare you for what comes next. Everything we do is centered on helping you achieve your goals. Completing 30 credit hours each year is essential for graduating on time, and summer coursework can play an important role if you need to catch up or want to get ahead. I encourage you to review your progress and connect with your advisor to stay on a strong path toward graduation.

A key part of our university's work is the UWG Next strategic plan, which will guide the institution's priorities in the years ahead. As I shared with you last week, your voices and perspectives are essential to shaping this plan, and I encourage you to stay tuned for upcoming opportunities to share your ideas and be involved in the process.

As you head into the summer, I hope you rest, reflect, and take pride in what you've accomplished this year. I look forward to what we will build together in the year ahead.

Best wishes for a safe, restful, and successful summer.

Go Wolves!
