Writing UWG's Next Chapter Together

Dear UWG Community,

Today marks the beginning of my service as president of the University of West Georgia, and I want to share how truly honored I am to join this vibrant and dedicated community.

From the moment I was introduced to UWG, I was struck by its sense of mission, its momentum, and–most of all–its people. This is a university defined by its commitment to transforming lives through education, expanding opportunity, and serving as an engine of progress for our region and beyond. I am excited to help build on that legacy as we move forward together.

Over the next 100 days, I will spend time meeting with faculty and staff, engaging with students, connecting with alumni and donors, and deepening our partnerships with community and business leaders. Throughout these conversations, my focus will be on listening and learning. I want to better understand what makes UWG exceptional, what our defining strengths are, where we see opportunities for growth, and how we can continue to elevate the impact of this university on every life it touches. I invite you to share your ideas, your hopes, and your questions through this feedback form. This is our university, and the future we build will reflect our shared vision.
