Objective:
UWG Presidential Search and Screen Committee is charged and begins initial discussions of the search process, qualifications and position requirements.

August 23, 2019

Objective:
Meeting with UWG PSSC to further discuss search process, timeline, leadership profile and advertising plan.

Week of August 26, 2019

Objective:
Leadership profile, advertising copy and advertising plan approved and executed. Candidate recruiting and screening is initiated.

Responsibility:

Early September 2019

Objective:
UWG PSSC and WittKieffer will facilitate campus listening sessions to discuss process, expectations of qualified candidates and opportunities and challenges facing the next president.

Responsibility:
UWG PSSC, UWG campus community groups and WittKieffer


Late September 2019

Objective:
Meeting with UWG PSSC to discuss recruitment efforts, preliminary market feedback and prepare for first round interviews

Responsibility:

Mid-October 2019

Objective:
Meeting with UWG PSSC to discuss candidate pool development, prepare for the candidate review meeting and discussion of final recruitment strategies.

Early November 2019

Objective:
Meeting with UWG PSSC to review and select candidates for first-round interviews. Media checks and education and employment verification begin on selected candidates.

Mid-November 2019

Objective:
UWG PSSC conducts interviews and selects 3-5 unranked candidates to move to second-round interviews with the Regent's Special Committee.

December 2019

Regent's Special Committee interviews second-round candidates

USG Institutions Policy on Selection of Presidents

WittKieffer will work directly with the UWG Presidential Search and Screen Committee to arrange all schedules and assist in facilitating and expediting the process of candidate recommendation. The search firm will also work with UWG to arrange schedules and, when necessary, assist in the offer and negotiations. Background and reference checks will continue throughout the process to ensure that all parties are satisfied with the information provided on the preferred candidate.
