Making the Brand: UWG’s ‘Go West’ Campaign Receives Higher Ed Marketing Awards 

Since its launch almost 10 years ago, UWG’s “Go West” brand has earned nearly three-dozen regional and national awards in marketing and advertising. 

“We are excited and honored to be recognized in this way for the meaningful work we’ve done to position UWG as the innovative, forward-thinking institution we know and love,” said Jami Bower, UWG’s associate vice president of communications and marketing. “For UWG to continue to be acknowledged for the quality of the ‘Go West’ brand is a testament to the sustainability of this powerful creative concept developed by our agency partner, Mindpower.”

The Telly Awards are the premier honors reflecting excellence within television and video. Receiving over 12,000 entries annually from 50 states and five continents, Telly Award winners represent work from the most respected advertising agencies, television stations, production companies, and publishers around the world.

The University of West Georgia received two merit winner awards at the 33rd annual Educational Advertising Awards hosted by Higher Education Marketing. The Annual Education Advertising Awards is a national competition to recognize the field of educational marketing and advertising. A national panel of industry specialists judges creativity, marketing execution, and message impact.
