Jim Martin, MSN, FNP-C

Jim started working in healthcare as a Paramedic in the 80s. He completed his Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from the UWG in 1994. He worked in the Emergency Room setting for years while completing his Master's Degree in Nursing to become a Family Nurse Practitioner in 1997 and later his Doctorate of Nursing Practice from UAB in 2017. He has experience in the following healthcare fields: Emergency Care, Pediatrics, Family Practice, Occupational Health, Gastroenterology, College Health, and Aerospace Medicine/Military Health. He completed his Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner training in 2018. He is currently on active duty status in support of COVID19. He has participated in 2 combat tours and 2 non-combat tours while being awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal, and Aerial Achievement Medal as an AEROVAC Flight Nurse. He is a native of Carrollton, Georgia.
