Student Affairs Committee

Purpose

To provide advice, review and recommend policy and procedures for all aspects of student affairs and co-curricular experience, including, but not limited to: campus student life experience and services, student-community engagement, athletics, inclusion, diversity, equity, e-Sports, and campus safety. The committee serves in a facilitative and advisory capacity to the Vice President for Student Affairs, Vice President for Enrollment Management, Chief of Police, Director of Athletics and other administrative leaders as appropriate to fulfill its purpose. It is recommended that members of this committee be invited to serve on related committees across campus, e. g., SAFBA.

Membership

Six senators; one faculty member elected from each of the major academic units (colleges, schools, and the Library); five administrators or their designated appointee: the Provost, the Vice President for Student Affairs, the Vice President for Strategic Enrollment Management, Chief of Police, and the Director of Athletics; and two students: one appointed by SGA and one student-athlete.
