Campus Center - West Georgia Outdoors Rental Center
Wednesday, September 15, 2021 05:00 PM - 07:00 PM
The How-to-outdoors workshop series will help equip you for any successful outdoor adventure. You’ll learn everything from safety, shelter, nutrition, trip planning, and much more. Participants will be able to put all of the skills and knowledge they learn from the previous workshops into practice by coaching individuals on how to create their very own adventure through a capstone workshop (information about this final workshop will be provided to participants directly). These participants will be awarded a certificate of completion for attending at least 3 workshop events and completing the capstone workshop.
When you are out in the wilderness, you want to make sure you have everything that you need, while also balancing the amount of weight and gear that you have to carry. Learn the different types of equipment and gear that can be used for different kinds of trips as well as how to pack and bring that equipment along with you on your adventure. You’ll walk away from this workshop with the necessary tools to pick the correct gear for your adventure.
