Campus Center - West Georgia Outdoors Rental Center
Wednesday, September 29, 2021 05:00 PM - 07:00 PM
The How-to-outdoors workshop series will help equip you for any successful outdoor adventure. You’ll learn everything from safety, shelter, nutrition, trip planning, and much more. Participants will be able to put all of the skills and knowledge they learn from the previous workshops into practice by coaching individuals on how to create their very own adventure through a capstone workshop (information about this final workshop will be provided to participants directly). These participants will be awarded a certificate of completion for attending at least 3 workshop events and completing the capstone workshop.
Sleeping outdoors is a lot different than sleeping inside. Come learn about one of the most critical components of outdoor survival and experience: shelter and sleeping gear. A night under the stars can be one of the best or one of the worst experiences and it comes down to choosing the right shelter and sleeping gear.
