Campus Center - West Georgia Outdoors Rental Center
Wednesday, November 10, 2021 05:00 PM - 07:00 PM
The How-to-outdoors workshop series will help equip you for any successful outdoor adventure. You’ll learn everything from safety, shelter, nutrition, trip planning, and much more. Participants will be able to put all of the skills and knowledge they learn from the previous workshops into practice by coaching individuals on how to create their very own adventure through a capstone workshop (information about this final workshop will be provided to participants directly). These participants will be awarded a certificate of completion for attending at least 3 workshop events and completing the capstone workshop.
Come learn the A-Z process on how to prepare and cook meals on your outdoor adventure. You’ll learn how to pack and prepare meals, cook with camp stoves and other equipment, how to clean up after to avoid unwanted threats from animals and the environment, and how to locate, filter, and store water. Nutrition is critical to a successful outdoor adventure and after completing this workshop you’ll have the necessary skills to fuel your adventure.
