The Emerging Leaders Program is a first-year program that engages student leaders in learning the foundations of leadership development.

Overview

This program is designed to give you an instant connection to campus life here at West Georgia. Emerging Leaders commit to responsible leadership on-campus and in the community and develop skills to be successful leaders in their academic, co-curricular, and social lives.

Through the required activities, students connect to campus and learn basic and some intermediate leadership skills that can be used both on-campus and off. Past ELP participants have become leaders on campus, from Orientation Leaders to the presidents of various student organizations, including Student Government Association.

Eligibility

Students entering UWG as a first-time freshman in Fall of 2016 are eligible to apply to be in the 2016 Emerging Leaders Program. Students must also have at least a 2.75 UWG adjusted high school GPA.
