Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration

UWG will celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s annual birthday in January.  Specifically, the program seeks to continue Dr. King’s dream and work for non-violence and social justice. It is free and open to the public.  The Holiday is the 3rd Monday in January. 

World Festival

In collaboration with various offices and groups at the University of West Georgia, the office will host “The World Festival” during March of each year. This event will be an activity, consisting of various cultural displays, entertainment and food, as well as the participation of vendors from the surrounding communities.

Multicultural Book Discussion

Designed to promote intercultural communication, education and awareness, through the reading and discussion of various books about the cultures that are represented at the University of West Georgia (Spring Program).
