Rev. Dr. Jamie Washington two workshops are designed to help UWG build capacity for greater inclusion.

Workshop 1: 9:00 am -11:30 am
Building Our Capacity For Greater Inclusion: Our Work for the Next Round
A primary role of higher education is to prepare the next generation of leaders.  In order to meet the needs of an ever changing and dynamic global society, all leaders will need the skills and capacity to engage and work effectively within, across and about difference.  In order to prepare students, we must prepare the campus, to include the faculty, staff, administration and culture.  This workshop will offer key tools and frameworks for doing this important work.

Workshop 2 : 1:30 pm-3:00 pm
Beyond Diversity to Greater Inclusion
In order to create greater inclusion, campuses must explore and examine the things that get in the way.  One of the primary roadblocks is unexamined dynamics that exist as  a result of a history and legacy of exclusion and oppression.  This workshop will invite participants to consider how historical exclusion impact our ability to make West Georgia a more inclusive campus community.
