Dear Students and Families,

We are pleased to welcome you to the University of West Georgia Housing & Residence Life community. We are committed to offering our residents comfortable housing, academic support, and opportunities that challenge our residents to succeed. We understand what a transition it is from High School to College and we are prepared to offer that transitional support while challenging our residents to grow and learn to be positive and contributing citizens to society.

Research shows that living on campus provides significant opportunities for students to transition to college through academic support services, such as, our HARC Center and staff support, such as, our Resident Assistants, Peer Mentors and Graduate Assistants. Students who live on campus typically have higher GPAs and are more likely to return for their second year of college. In addition, on-campus students demonstrate higher graduation rates and benefit from the positive aspects of living in a community during their first year of college.

The experience of living on campus is a life-long friend development opportunity which we are privileged to support at UWG. We are happy to welcome you into our family. Go West! Go Wolves!
