Orientation
The University of West Georgia's Orientation program provides a comprehensive experience that acclimates students and families to university resources, allows students to register for classes, and ensures students are ready for the first day of class.

UWG offers a broad range of programs to help first-year students transition to college, all of which have the same goals: Connect students with faculty, peers, and the university community; improve academic performance and student retention; and clarify college expectations for academic professional, and personal success.

Dual Enrollment
Dual Enrollment (formerly Move On When Ready) is a non-need based grant program for qualified students at accredited public or private high schools in the state of Georgia.
Dual Enrollment students are eligible to take classes in the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.

Ignite
The Ignite Program is designed for students who have demonstrated the ability to be successful in college, but have not met our admissions requirements. These students begin classes in the summer and gain access to campus resources and services that will support their transition to the university.

Pack Premiere
Pack Premiere is the last step of your transition in learning what it means to be a Freshman at UWG before classes start! Attending Pack Premiere will give you the opportunity to have fun, make friends, and get connected to campus to ensure a successful first year!
All #UWG22 Freshmen are required to attend.
