Why do we "Adventure West?"
Adventure West for Challenge. Whether it is reaching the summit of a mountain or learning to ride a bike, we doubt only our limits.
Adventure West for Growth. From participating on a hiking trip to leading a Spring Break trip, everyone involved will develop essential skills to make this world a better place.
We Adventure West. When we walk across the stage at graduation, we leave West Georgia with memories, experiences, and unparalleled friendships you can’t get in the classroom.
We are West Georgia Outdoors, and we Adventure West.

Located on the second floor of the Campus Center (in the back gym), the Outdoor Recreation Center is the hub for all things Outdoor Recreation-related. Stop by with any questions, to say hi, or to take a study break!
How does renting equipment work?
Equipment can be reserved up to one week in advance, for your convenience. Stop by the Outdoor Recreation Center, or call us during our operating hours to place your reservation. Checking out equipment can be done on the spot as well! All you need is an ID, to know what you want, and payment for the rental (cash or check). We can rent equipment out for one day, or up to one week!*
