Commencement Livestream

All ceremonies will be live-streamed and will be recorded for viewing after the ceremony. A digital copy of the Commencement Program will be available to download on December 10, 2022.

Save the date! The University of West Georgia is pleased to announce we will host the Fall 2022 Commencement Ceremonies on Saturday, December 10th, at The Coliseum.

Students have been assigned a ceremony based on their Degree Level and/or College:

10:00 am  - Undergraduate Level College of Arts, Culture, and Scientific Inquiry & Tanner Health System School of Nursing
2:00 pm - Undergraduate Level Richards College of Business, College of Education, School of Communication, Film, and Media, & University College
5:30 pm - All Graduate Level

Physical Distancing & Face Coverings

To accommodate physical distancing and other public health guidelines, modifications to the traditional ceremony are necessary. These include, but are not limited to:

  • No student processional; students will be seated as they arrive
  • Updated CDC recommendations.
  • Students will be individually recognized at the ceremony and will have their picture taken as they cross the stage. Handshakes with the President, Provost, and Dean will take place. If students wish to refrain from shaking hands, students can place their hand over their heart to signal a desire to refrain from the handshake or extend an offer for a fist bump.

Guest Ticket Guidelines

  • No Tickets will be issued or required for entrance to the Commencement Ceremonies. All seating will be general admission.
