The Retirees' Employment Service (RES) at the University of West Georgia allows retirees from the university to return to work to fill temporary vacancies which are housed in various departments throughout the campus. We encourage all interesed retirees to apply.

  • Who qualifies for RES?

    The Retirees' Employment Service (RES) is for UWG retirees who wish to be considered for temporary employment. Note that the retiree must have retired from the University of West Georgia.

  • How do I add my name to the list?

    UWG retirees who wish to be considered for temporary employment simply fill out and submit an application through the application form in PeopleAdmin.

  • Will I have to apply each time a position is opened?
    Applying for positions

    RES applicants only need to apply once each ACA year (October 3 through October 2). If the applicant wishes to remain in the RES database for the following year, a new application will need to be submitted after the current fiscal year ends.

  • How will this affect my retirement?
    Retiree Policy

    Note that this service is only for temporary retirement at the University, and will not present opportunities for regular part-time or full-time employment. Please contact Human Resources at 678-839-6403 for retirement questions.

    Retiree employees must follow ACA guidelines.
