Accessible and All-Gender Restrooms
Gender identity and sexual orientation are protected groups under the UWG non-discrimination statement, and Title IX provides protections for members of the UWG community to use campus facilities that align with their gender. In addition, campus partners published a map indicating campus buildings with single-occupant, all-gender and accessible restrooms on the UWG Carrollton and Newnan locations. Name Change Policies and Guides
Currently, students, faculty, and staff must provide documentation of a legal name change for university records to reflect that name change. However, some campus platforms will allow for a chosen name to be displayed. The linked guide can help change the display name for your email account. Please note that you will still be searchable by your legal name, and it will still appear in some email communications. Changing Your Email Display Name (PDF, 111K).
LGBTQ+ Faculty and Staff Group
This informal campus group is designed to provide space for LGBTQ+ faculty and staff and allies to meet with each other and share LGBTQ+ news and updates. Each month, the group has drop-in lunch meetings. To join the listserv for the LGBTQ+ Faculty and Staff Group, email firstname.lastname@example.org and follow instructions to join.
