The Classification and Compensation Analyst in Human Resources coordinates the University's staff job-classification process. The Human Resources Department assists with requests from campus departments regarding:

  • Analysis and recommendation on appropriate compensation ranges

The Classification and Compensation Analyst maintains the University's listing of current staff job titles and the pay grade assignment for each title. The office coordinates University of West Georgia’s participation in comparative external-market salary surveys for staff positions, and uses such market survey information to help benchmark the University's own staff compensation ranges. The office is available to consult with campus units on strategic job design and staffing issues.
