What is Employee Relations?

Employee Relations offers consultation, facilitation and resolution strategies for workplace issues. We are committed to promoting a positive workplace, enhancing the quality of the work environment, and promoting positive communication between all employees of the University of West Georgia.

What Employee Relations Does to Help Supervisors and Employees:
  • Provides counsel and advice to supervisors and employees regarding employment related inquiries.
  • Investigation and resolution of conduct related matters.
  • Assists in the interpretation of University policies and procedures.
  • Advises employees regarding their employment rights.
  • Facilitates dialogue on employee/employer issues.
  • Workplace conflict resolution and mediation.
  • Assists with disciplinary and corrective action measures.
