The performance management process for the January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016 period will be completed through an electronic process using the PeopleAdmin system. The form and evaluation method has not changed for this period. We will have a few technology changes in order to make a couple of steps a little clearer.
The process is explained in this process guide.
The evaluation timeline will extend approximately 7 weeks to allow for training on system use and successful completion and understanding between the supervisor and employee.

Log in using your UWG User ID & Password
From the home page click on the Go to University Of West Georgia Employee Portal link to access performance management (upper right-hand side of screen).
Human Resources will provide campus wide refresher training. Separate sessions will be provided for those in supervisory roles and general staff employee positions. Supervisors are highly encouraged to attend. During these sessions, Human Resources will review performance management basics and helpful tools in addition to the technology aspects of the PeopleAdmin system.

An online training tool is available to the campus via the Human Resources section in DevelopWest. Two recorded sessions are available, as follows:
Supervisors (20 minutes) & Employees (12 minutes).
These training tools include how to log in to the system, a process overview, and a site demonstration.
*Note* These sessions were recorded for the 2015 performance review period and the tasks are essentially the same.
Proctor sessions are being offered to assist with performance evaluations. A member of our Human Resources Employment Services team will be available to assist you with your self-evaluations and supervisor evaluations, and acknowledgements.
All proctor sessions are being held in the Center for Business Excellence Training Room (Row Hall, 3rd floor training room).

TimelineThe timeline below is a suggested schedule from Human Resources. Our primary focus will be the final due date of February 24th. Supervisors may change the dates within the schedule based on various needs of the department.
January 6th – System will be active for supervisors to begin initiating evaluations.
January 20th – Supervisors should have all evaluations initiated. This step must be completed in order for employees to complete the self-evaluation and/or for supervisors to complete their evaluations.
February 3rd – Supervisor and self-evaluations to be completed.
February 10th – Reviewing Officers complete their review of the self-evaluation, if available, and supervisor evaluations.
February 17th – Supervisor and employees complete their conversation and review of evaluations.
February 24th – Employees complete final acknowledgement of evaluation.
