The momentum continued across multiple disciplines, as well, with U. S. News naming UWG as No. 3. in overall online bachelor programs. Also included were the No. 5 bachelor’s degree in business and No. 10 master’s degree in education.

“UWG is redefining what online education can be,” said Dr. Michael Johnson, UWG president. “These rankings affirm the work of our faculty and staff, who are committed to building programs that are innovative, accessible and aligned with the needs of today’s students and tomorrow’s workforce.”

UWG’s strong performance in these rankings reflects the university’s dedication to providing students with the flexibility, resources, and meaningful learning experiences that help them graduate and make a lasting impact in their communities.

The university also serves as the operational home for the University System of Georgia’s eCampus – supporting eCore and eMajor programs that expand access to high‑quality online degrees across the state, nation and world.

“The University of West Georgia has been an innovator for online education for more than 25 years, but our goal remains the same,” said Dr. Jon Preston, provost and senior vice president for academic affairs. “We want every student – no matter where they learn from – to feel supported, challenged and prepared to succeed in their careers and communities.”
