Colton Campbell ’20, assistant vice president for University Communications and Marketing at the University of West Georgia and a UWG alumnus, recently graduated as a member of the 2025 cohort of Leadership Carroll.
A flagship program of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Carroll is designed to provide local business leaders with a unique opportunity to experience the many facets of Carroll County while preparing them for the challenges of tomorrow. Over the course of eight months, participants engage in immersive sessions focused on leadership development, community assets, economic growth, healthcare, education and more.
Campbell, who earned his Master of Business Administration from UWG in 2020, delivered the closing remarks at the program’s graduation ceremony, reflecting on the transformative nature of the experience.
“I was honored to be selected for the Leadership Carroll cohort and grateful for the opportunity to learn alongside such a talented group of professionals,” Campbell said. “This experience reshaped how I think about leadership – not just as an individual pursuit, but as a collective effort rooted in trust and collaboration.”

Allyson Bretch ’14, UWG’s vice president for University Advancement and CEO of the university’s philanthropic foundations, commended Campbell’s commitment to community engagement.
“We are incredibly proud of Colton’s participation in Leadership Carroll,” Bretch said. “His engagement with the program reflects UWG’s values of service and leadership, and we are grateful to be one of the Chamber’s Leadership Development Sponsors supporting this important initiative.”
For more than three decades, Leadership Carroll has provided a path for business and community leaders to grow, connect, and contribute to the future of Carroll County. To learn more about the program, visit the chamber’s website.
