UWG Rises to No. 1 National Ranking in AFCA Poll

The University of West Georgia football team made history on Monday, Oct. 26, as the first Division II team at UWG to gain a No. 1 spot in the American Football Coaches Association poll. UWG Athletic Foundation Raises Record-Breaking $2.9 Million

The University of West Georgia Athletic Foundation, Inc. is proud to announce a record breaking $2.9 million for the 2014-15 fiscal year, an increase of 164 percent from least year’s $1.1 million raised. Donors nationwide expressed their generosity through gifts of various sizes. Two legacy gifts of $1 million each were given in addition to fundraising through individual donors, corporate partners, construction projects and naming opportunities contributing nearly $1 million to the grand total.
