Lori Dixon-Leach, M.Ed.

Lori began working in UWG's Ingram Library in 2012. Before UWG, Lori taught high school French, as well as American Literature. Prior to teaching, Lori worked for Auburn University Libraries for several years while working on her M.Ed in Foreign Language Education. Her master's ethographic study explored differences in perception and practice of religion in France and the United States. She has cum laude B.A.s in English as well as in International Trade (French). She spent a year abroad in France as a Rotary Cultural Ambassadorial Scholar from 2005-2006, and welcomes opportunities to use her French at home and at work.

Lori is Ingram Library's copy cataloger and acquisitions associate, as well as the facilitator for Ingram Library's student book club. Lori's community outreach includes volunteering with the Carroll County Animal Shelter as a cat foster and for the Carroll County Humane Society as a photographer and writer of profiles of the adoptable cats at the shelter. She also sings with the Carroll County Community Chorus as her schedule permits. She has a deep love for travel and animals.

Her favorite authors include T. Kingfisher, K.A. Applegate, H.G. Wells, Margaret Atwood, Christopher Moore, Octavia Butler, Alexandre Dumas, Seanan McGuire, and Frances Hardinge.
