Lauren N. Johnson, Ed.D.

Lauren N. Johnson is the Undergraduate Program Coordinator and Assistant Professor in the Sport Management, Wellness, and Physical Education Department. In this role, she supervises experiential learning opportunities for students who have the desire to work in the sports industry. Before joining the team, Dr. Johnson spent seven years working in career services, five of which she served as the Associate Director of Career Development at UWG. Dr. Johnson earned both a bachelor's and masters from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she competed in track and field for the Running Rebels. She earned her doctorate from the University of Georgia. She has a diverse career background that informs her work and offers a unique perspective on teaching. Dr. Johnson’s research interests include student-athlete career maturity, career development, transition, leadership, and organization development.
