Marion previously served from 2020 to 2022 as a Career and Technical Education Teacher at the Atlanta College and Career Academy with Atlanta Public Schools. She taught theoretical and practical concepts, strategies, and techniques associated with the field of information technology within the CTAE Career Cluster. Also, Marion designed and implemented educational curricula for high school students in the Game Design, Programming, and Web Development Career Pathways.
In December 2022, Marion was selected as the runner-up of Teach For America’s 2022 Cognizant Innovation in Computer Science Education Award in the school-based category for her exemplary work in the community.
From 2017 to 2020, Marion was an Introduction to Computer Literacy Adjunct Instructor at Chattahoochee Technical College. She provided guidance and instruction to prepare students with the fundamental concepts and operations needed to use computers.
During her free time, Marion enjoys creating crafts using vinyl, paper, beads, fabric, and yarn.

Governor's Teaching Fellows Program Summer Symposium 2023
In March 2023, Marion was 1 of 18 faculty members who teach at accredited public or private colleges or universities other than the UGA in the state of Georgia selected to attend this intensive workshop on undergraduate science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education. The goal of this Summer Symposium was to better address institutional challenges to STEM education reform by training a critical mass of educators in Georgia in the best evidence-based teaching strategies.
