Marion Franklin Cannon, MSIT

Marion is a dedicated, experienced educator passionate about empowering students through technology and career development. She began her career as an Introduction to Computers Adjunct Instructor at Chattahoochee Technical College while working in the legal services industry. After three years of teaching as an Adjunct Instructor, Marion started a second career as a Career and Technical Education Teacher at the Atlanta College and Career Academy with Atlanta Public Schools. Her service to APS was short as she transitioned from teaching at the K-12 level to the university level, allowing her to make a broader impact on students. Marion is also a certified career development professional, helping individuals identify their strengths and interests and develop successful career paths.

Marion holds an AAS in Office Management and a BAS in Administrative Management from Clayton State University. In addition, she has an AAS in Computer Information Systems from Chattahoochee Technical College and an MS in Information Technology from Kennesaw State University. Marion is also a Certified Professional Educator through the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.

Marion enjoys creating crafts in her free time using vinyl, paper, beads, fabric, and yarn.
