Shivani Ramoutar is a Clinical Assistant Professor and CoE Instructional Designer in the Department of Educational Technology and Foundations. Shivani teaches foundational graduate level courses in the Instructional Technology program and as an instructional designer, will support the College of Education on achieving outcomes in learner-centered instructional design and technology.
Shivani's work focuses on design and practical enactment of learner-centered pedagogies in higher education. Her research interests include the enactment of culturally relevant and responsive pedagogies, understanding the lived experiences and instructional design decisions of higher education instructors, and design-based research focused on equity and learner-centered use of technologies.
