Britney Harris

Hello! My name is Britney Harris, and I am a Lecturer in the First-Year Writing Program at the University of West Georgia.

I earned both my B.A. and M.A. in English from UWG, and I’ve known from a young age that my calling is to help others through education. I am passionate about helping students discover and develop their own voices as writers and critical thinkers. In my courses, I strive to create an inclusive, student-centered learning environment where all students feel welcomed, supported, and encouraged to explore ideas, ask questions, and grow.

Beyond the classroom, I enjoy presenting at academic conferences, mentoring students, and continuing my research in literature and media studies. Above all, I am committed to supporting students as they build skills that extend beyond the university and into their personal, academic, and professional lives.
