The FOCUS2 is a self-assessment instrument that can provide students with possible career options that fit majors offered at the University of West Georgia. It briefly assesses students in areas that include values, personality, skills, interests, and decision making styles, and it can be an incredibly useful first step in the career decision making process.

To begin using FOCUS2, here are steps to register and start using this helpful resource:

  • Go to UWG FOCUS2
  • First time user - Create your personal account now by clicking the blue register button and completing the fields requested
  • Use “wolves” as your access code.
  • Take all 5 FOCUS2 assessments and combine your results  to ID sample occupations
  • Go to the Explore the Possibilities section to explore majors, sample careers for different majors and careers.

Once you have taken the assessment, explore the listed careers to get ideas for your future. We strongly recommend that you set up an appointment with one of our career counselors to discuss your FOCUS2 results and to outline the next steps in the career decision making process.
