Mentor Program FAQs

Once you have submitted your registration form, Career Services will review your form and pair you with a mentor based on the skill areas that you would like to develop.

Mentors and mentees are typically paired together for one semester. You are welcome to participate in the program beyond one semester if you’d like. 

We encourage mentees and mentors to connect for at least three meetings over the course of the semester. However, the frequency and form of communication are things you both determine depending on availability.

Each mentee will be paired with one mentor.

If after multiple attempts to reach your mentor and receiving no response, please contact Career Services at careers@westga.edu.

Yes, you may continue to communicate with your mentor if both parties are willing and able.

Mentors and mentees are typically paired together for one semester. You may continue to participate in the program as a mentor beyond one semester if you’d like, either with the same mentee or a new mentee.

We encourage mentors and mentees to connect on a regular basis (e.g., in-person or once-a-month phone call, zoom meeting or email conversation). However, the frequency and form of communication are things you both determine depending on availability.

No, the benefit of technology allows a mentor relationship to be established via email, phone, and virtual meetings.

As a mentor, you can expect to be paired with one mentee at a time. If you would like to mentor additional students, reach out to Career Services at careers@westga.edu.
